Yarn character/design: Shropshire is a hardy English breed raised for both meat and wool, they are rare in the US. The fleece is a Down type fiber. It a light, soft and bouncy yarn. A double twist yarn that looks and acts like a single, it’s fun and knits up fast. Not a bit scratchy, but not a hard wearing yarn.
Yarn size: double twist, worsted weight, 12 wraps per inch
Sklein size: approximately 120+ yards/109 meters; 2.5-3 oz./70-82 grams
Suggested needle sizes: 7-9 (US)
Gauge: 4.5 stitches per inch using size 8 (US) needles
Fiber care: Yarn is pre-washed. Finished projects: hand wash warm with low agitation, lay flat to dry or dry clean.
