Socks

Fiber farms: Millcreek Farm and the Miller’s Farm in Lovettsville, VA
Fiber content: 70% wool, 30% nylon
Yarn character/design: woolen spun, 3-ply, 13 wraps per inch. Light sport weight yarn that is springy to give socks good cushion power. A round (3-ply) yarn is both stronger and more comfortable for your feet
Size: 3 ply, light sport weight, 11 wraps per inch
Length/Weight: Small skeins: 120 yds/109 meters 1.7 oz./48 gram
Large skeins: 240 yds/219 meters 3.5 oz./99 grams
Suggested needle sizes: US 2, 2.5 and 3 for socks. Larger for other applications
Gauge: size 2: 7.5 st/in, size 2.5: 7 st/in, size 3: 6 st/in
Fiber care: Yarn is pre-washed. Finished projects hand wash warm with low agitation, lay flat to dry or dry clean. If knitting is tight, socks are machine washable.
