Fiber content: 80% Targhee wool, 20% nylon
Yarn/wool character: Soft and lofty with added nylon for strength and washability. The yarn is semi-worsted spun, a bit uneven with some slubs. Three-ply round yarn is comfortable for feet. Suitable for next-to-skin wear: scarves, shawls, socks, light sweaters and baby wear.
Yarn size: right between sock and sport weight; 20 wraps per inch, approx 1100 yds per pound
Skein sizes: approximately 290 yards/265 meters long and 3.8 oz./127 grams
Suggested needle sizes: (US) 2-2.5 for socks; 3-4 for sweaters
Gauge: 8 stitches per inch on size 2 (US); 6 stitches per inch on size 4 (US) needles
Fiber care: Yarn is pre-washed. Finished projects hand wash warm with low agitation, lay flat to dry or dry clean. Machine washing will create a small amount of shrinkage.
