Yarn character/design: Tunis is a Medium wool…perfectly named: it is medium strong, not soft, but not too crunchy, with a medium staple length. This wool has lots of spring and cushion, and so does the yarn. We’ve designed a woolen spun, firmly plyed knitting yarn that is good for so many different things is almost silly to try and list them.
Yarn size: 2-ply, Category 4, worsted weight, 12 wraps per inch, approx. 650 yds per pound
Skein sizes: regular (undyed and solid dyed colors) 125 yds/ 114 meters 3.1oz./ 88 grams; large (undyed and hand-painted) 250 yds/ 228 meters 6 oz./ 170 grams
Suggested needle sizes: US 5-7
Gauge: 4.5 stitches per inch using size 7 (US) needles on dyed yarn, 4.5 st per inch using size 6 (US) needles on undyed yarn
Fiber care: Yarn is pre-washed. Finished projects hand wash warm with low agitation, lay flat to dry or dry clean
